A few weeks ago I went to visit my family in California. My sisters threw me a baby shower with the theme "Pink Princess". Even through I come from a family of 8 girls and 1 boy, of the 13 grandchildren, only 3 have been girls. I think my sisters were a littIe excited to welcome another girl into the family. Right after the shower I posted some photos on Facebook, but thought I'd share the story here.

My oldest sister, Melissa, came up with the theme, the invitations, the registration cards, the goodie bags, the decorations and most everything else that you'll see below. As you can see, she is very creative. Everything was just perfect!
When the guests arrived, they were welcomed with a guess-timate game, but aside from guessing the amount of safety pins in the jar, the shower consisted of a delicious lunch, visiting and celebrating with one another, opening presents, and filling goodie bags with Princess Pretties.

In keeping with the Pink Princess theme, even some of the drinks were pink!

Melissa found every possible pink dessert invented and displayed each beautifully, including adorable signage.

Glass jars were full of pink goodies to eat and take home.

Of course she included goodie bags to fill with tiaras, nail polish, lotion, lipstick, and other princess pretties.

I received the best gifts including an assortment of handmade- such as the hooter hider above, and store bought outfits and accesories such as the ones below.

Everyone had a fantastic time and we even created a new tradition- making a flower bouquet using the tissue paper from the gifts. Thank you to Melissa, my mom, and all my sisters who helped in making this an incredible baby shower!
